Hot Rolling and Cold Rolling Process of Seamless Steel Pipe

Generally, there are two processes of seamless steel pipe: hot rolling process and cold rolling process.

Hot rolled seamless steel pipes will be coated with oil after a rigorous quality control by staff, then followed by several cold experiments and perforation experiments. If the perforation is too large, it needs straightening correction. After straightening correction, then transmitted by the transmitting device to the testing machine for testing experiments. If everything is all right, hot rolled seamless steel pips will be labeled and placed to the warehouse according to their specifications.

The process of cold rolled seamless steel pipes is more complicated than hot rolled seamless steel pipes. The pipe must through a three-roll rolling first and then will be sized after extrusion. If there is no cracks, cut it by cutting machine and anneal it by acidic liquid pickling. If there is a lot of bubble during pickling, it means that the seamless steel pipes can not reach required standards.

Classification and Application of Carbon Steel Seamless Pipe

1, General seamless carbon content

2, Low-carbon steel seamless pipe

Advantages of Seamless Steel Pipe

Wall Thickness Deviation of Seamless Steel Pipe

How to Straighten Large Diameter Seamless Steel Pipes

In some high-intensity work environment, large-diameter seamless steel pipe may deform. So how to straighten large diameter seamless steel pipes? The best way is to use steel pipe straightening machine. Steel pipe straightening machine is used for metal profiles, bars, tubes, wire, etc. Here we will introduce operations and attentions of steel pipe straightening machine to correct large diameter seamless steel pipes.


1. Before starting, check the hydraulic oil box, gear box is full or not.
2. Before starting the main motor, adjust the hydraulic system pressure.
3. Lubricate every smooth point and ensure the work of the mechanical transmission is sensitive.
4. After the oil pressure reaches stable. The straightening rollers should be lifted to the initial position.
5. Put the large diameter seamless steel pipe on the third straightening roller.
6. Start the main motor, large diameter seamless steel pipe will rotate with straightening.
7. Stop the motor and pull out the straightening pipe.
8. Straightening steel pipe is returned to the start position and straightening is to be repeated the next program.
9. Shut down the main changer and do not change the program controller.
