Casing pipe

Steel Casing pipes, which are used for casing of oil and gas. Casing pipes are manufactured of metal in-house produced and smelted in the electric furnace, treated with synthetic slags and cast by continuous casters. The applied steel making process ensures the achievement of chemically pure steel with reference to sulphur and phosphor contents providing high tensile, ductility and corrosion resistance properties of pipes to be operated at low temperatures in various corrosion media. 

Automatic ultrasonic and electromagnetic nondestructive inspection is performed to detect pipe outside and inside flows. Inspection of pipe ends before threading and couplings after treading is realized by magnetic-fluoroscopic flaw detection. Rolling using a press piercing mill and continuous mill equipped with a fixed mandrel allows strict measurement tolerances to be obtained and ensures a lack of pipe body and surface flows. Wall thickness is inspected throughout the pipe length by the ultrasonic unit.

Pipes are heat-treated in a computerized walking beam furnace. Steel grades and heat treatment regimes applied allow high-strength pipe to be obtained.

Threading of pipes and couplings is performed by numerical control machine tool. The facilities allow the production of both standard ("Buttress") and up-to-dated high-sealed threads of "Premium" type. Every threaded pipe end and every coupling is controlled with a thread gauge.

Uses and Application of Casing Pipe

Casing pipe is a type of steel pipe that is typically used to enclose and surround a carrier pipe, which is installed through the center of this pipe. Steel casing pipe is most often used in underground construction projects to encase or protect utility lines from being damaged. This pipe can be used when boring horizontally or directionally under roads, rivers, lakes, or railroads. In general, steel casing pipe is extremely durable and versatile, and therefore, it can be used in a variety of construction projects as well. Casing Pipe is available in a complete variety of different sizes and diameters as well as in straight seam, spiral-weld, and rolled and welded types of manufacture. 

Uses for Casing Pipe

Casing pipe is most often used for underground boring to encase and protect pipe. During horizontal underground boring projects under streets, highways, railroads, rivers, and streams, steel casing pipe can be jacked in segments into an augured hole. The casing pipe segments are then connected together by welding or by using special connections. Another commonly used practice for installing casing pipe is to weld the pipe into a ribbon and then to pull the pipe directionally through a previously drilled hole. This can be used to install casing pipe under highways, railroads, lakes, and rivers. Casing pipe is most often used to protect underground utility lines including water mains, electrical high-voltage lines, natural gas lines, telephone lines, and fiber-optic communication lines. This steel casing protects lines from human activity such as drilling or digging as well as from natural elements. The strength of the steel is a major advantage to the protection of these lines. ADIPEC 2015 Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference

ADIPEC, referred as the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference, is one of the world's most influential Oil and Gas exhibition and conference. The first ADIPEC was hold in 1984 in Abu Dhabi, after that the country decided to hold this big event every two years. With the fast developing of the international oil and gas industry, the attendees keep growing. In 2010, there were 1502 companies attend in this exhibition, and over 45597 company decision makers from 91 different countries. In order to meet the attendees' needs from different countries, the exhibition space kept expanding. In 2013, the ADIPEC had became an annual event to welcome more attendees internationally.


ADIPEC is held under the patronage of the President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahayan, and organized by DMG. It has become the largest exhibiton for Middle East Oil and Gas industry. It is supported by Abu Dhabi National Oil Comapny (ADNOC) and the UAE's Ministry of Energy.
